Genesis Clinic is a midwife-led birthing clinic specialising in active birth for low-risk pregnancies. Your care at Genesis is provided by an Independent Midwife, a highly skilled professional who specialises in pregnancy, natural birth, and postnatal care. Midwives are prepared to pick up any complications, and focused on helping you make informed choices that prioritise your well-being.

Where the Journey Began

Our Story

In 2009, Jude Polack, mom, and founder of Genesis Clinic, envisioned a place to nurture and empower women on their journey to motherhood. And so, Genesis Clinic was born, a birth sanctuary nestled amidst the tranquil, leafy suburb of Saxonwold, Gauteng. Genesis Clinic wasn't just a clinic, it was a home away from home, a sacred space where women could embrace a holistic and natural approach to pregnancy and childbirth, where the pressures of a clinical environment were replaced by a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. We understood the yearning for a birth experience that felt personal, intimate, and empowering. An Active Birth Unit, we believed, could bridge the gap between the comforts of home and the security of expert medical care.

Though Genesis Clinic's path shifted when acquired by Life Healthcare in 2015, leading to its closure in 2023, the spirit of Genesis never faded. Now, in a beautiful act of full circle, Jude Polack, alongside dedicated shareholders, is bringing Genesis Clinic back to life. The heart of our vision beats stronger than ever, and we are thrilled to reopen our doors, ready to welcome new life into the world once more. We believe that birth is a transformative and sacred journey and we're here to guide you, support you, and empower you, every step of the way.
