Specialty: VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean.)
My journey in midwifery began in 2001 when I received my four-year qualifications from Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing Institution. I also hold a comprehensive diploma in general, psychiatry, community, and midwifery from there.
I started my career working at a low-risk Midwifery Obstetrics Unit in Soweto, gaining valuable experience across antenatal, labour, and postnatal units. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of practicing in various private hospitals around the Johannesburg area.
For me, midwifery is truly a calling, not just a job. I’m a strong advocate for natural birth and absolutely love providing holistic midwifery care, covering everything from pregnancy and intrapartum to postpartum and routine wellness. Empowering women and their families with knowledge and education during their special journey is my greatest joy.
My Philosophy and Ethos
My practice is built on treating every woman and her family with the utmost respect. I provide personalized, one-on-one midwifery services during antenatal care, laboor, birth, and postpartum, always ensuring privacy and honoring their cultural beliefs. If any complications arise during antenatal visits, labor, delivery, or postpartum care, I work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate referrals are made, always prioritizing the health and safety of both mother and baby. Your diagnosis and prognosis are kept confidential at all times.
I’m dedicated to supporting families through one of life’s most special journeys with compassionate, knowledgeable, and respectful care.
