All four of our children were born at Genesis Clinic in, 2010, 2016, 2018, 2020. My husband and I were looking for a place that we could feel safe enough to be a home away from home. Genesis Clinic offered us what we were looking for. My husband moved in with me during the entire birthing process and was by my side. He was the first one to hold our babies and they all spent the first 3 nights of their lives on his chest. As a natural birthing clinic all their services were geared towards allowing us to have a beautiful natural birth, something that has become scarce in our city. We had a team of specialists that journeyed with us from the prenatal visits , antenatal classes, exercise classes all the way to baby clinic , massages etc. Our Doula Laurette was amazing, it was like having an advocate for you as you give birth. She answered all the questions, did all the admin and reminded me to breathe (which one tends to do when the going gets tough 😂). The birthing process is so delicate and miraculous that the place where it happens needs to be a delicate and nurturing environment for Mum and Baby. Genesis was that for us and we are forever thankful.
